THE PROJECT

A scan to connect.
A number kept private.

KnockMe is a digital calling bell built around customer-owned QR codes. A code identifies both its owner and a named context, such as a home, car, bike or wallet, so a visitor can reach the right person without needing their private phone number.

The browser experience connects visitors to the owner’s mobile app. The project combines QR handling, a PHP/MySQL backend, real-time messaging and mobile notifications around a chat-based contact experience.

WHAT IT BRINGS TOGETHER

The moving parts.
One connected experience.

01

Context-specific QR codes

Owners create QR codes associated with identifiable places or belongings, giving each contact request a meaningful context.

02

Browser-to-app contact

A visitor scans a QR code in a browser and connects with the owner through the mobile app’s chat experience.

03

Real-time messaging

The backend and WebSocket services support the exchange of chat messages between the visitor experience and the mobile client.

04

Notifications & support

Mobile notifications and customer support-ticket workflows connect the contact experience with ongoing account support.

THE USER JOURNEY

A simple way
to understand the flow.

  1. 01

    Create

The owner creates a QR code for a place or belonging.

  2. 02

    Scan

A visitor scans the code to identify its owner and context.

  3. 03
